"Here the wood influence is slightly more evident as the wood spice joins hints of vanilla though the ripe green fruit is so dense that it's less obtrusive than might be expected and introduces rich, robust and powerful flavors that are sleekly muscled and wonderfully intense, all wrapped in a concentrated and mouth coating finish of admirable length. This packs plenty of dry extract and the mouth feel is almost chewy. In short, this isn't an elegant wine but there is ample personality and character."Burghound 2007.

"The majority of wines in the range have been expressive and open yet this is tight and backward to the point of reticence yet it is still beautifully elegant with green apple and acacia blossom aromas that merge seamlessly into stunningly rich, full and powerful flavors that possess real drive and punch on the penetrating finish that is chiseled and almost painfully intense. We'll see the final result once it's in bottle but this would appear to have terrific potential, indeed this and the Montrachet may be the class of the group." Burghound 2007.
