Winemaker Allan Johnson is producing consistently superb wines, which reflect Palliser's prime vineyard sites in Martinborough. Whilst Palliser Estate and the Martinborough region have made their name from Pinot Noir, the Sauvignon Blanc is always one of New Zealand's finest.
Vibrant lifted aromas of passion fruit, elderflower, green herbs and a hint of stone fruits. The palate is explosive with succulent fruit characters and excellent mid-palate texture and weight. The refreshing acidity gives clean mouth-feel, and the flavours last and last. It is a lovely expressive Sauvignon with beautiful balance and harmony.

Pale straw green in colour and enticingly fragrant, the 2007 Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc is reminiscent of a fresh summer fruit salsa – ripe peach, passionfruit, mango and juicy citrus – sprinkled with fresh fennel and a dash of Pastis. The palate is rich and succulent, with a zesty citrus and apple-sherbet acidity that leads to a long, lingering, and characteristically crisp finish.
